How to create identical-sized blog posts in style of BePress

On the BePress home page template, directly below the slider, there are three blog posts that are identical in size to one another. The only option that I see when creating a blog that looks similar is the masonry style, which makes the second (middle) post slightly larger. I have played around with using several different elements, even re-sizing the pictures to be identical, but I cannot re-create this look. Can you please tell me how to get these 3 identically sized blog posts to show up beside each other?
