Link to Portfolio Categories

I am having trouble linking to portfolio categories on this page http://216.70.114.189/plant-guide/

I want to filter by month or location. My categories are like this:

Plant Guide (parent, slug = plant-guide)

Bloom Time (child of plant-guide, slug = bloom-time)

July (child of bloom-time, slug = april)

In the above example I would like to click on 'July', which should display the 11 or so items in that category.

Any ideas?

Hi,

we are afraid that it won't be possible. To be honest, we have no idea how this might be done the way as you wish because portfolio support only one level of categories.

How would I do it for one level? If I want to just link to 'April' for instance?

I have changed all of the categories to not have any parents.

If I try http://216.70.114.189/plant-guide/portfolio-types/april, I get a 404.

Originally I was trying to build a custom navigation for the portfolio categories, and wanted to manually add the links. But after working through some things, we went with the built in category menu.
