Sticky Posts not working

Hi,

I am using BeTheme and need to make a post stick to the top of my page. Within the post, I chose Visibility-Public, Sticky which has always worked in the past (prior to using this theme). It seems to do nothing to the post now. When I exited my site and came back in, the post was still down at the bottom, where it was to begin with.

Any ideas?

please show us what you exactly mean because we are not sure and would like to see which option you exactly mean and what happen.

Same for me. If I tick the sticky box, to make a post sticky, the post remains in the same position it was previously on the blog page. Instead of many other themes where if the post is made to be "sticky" it remains at the top of all the blog posts on the blog page.

@stvnalln We found it finally. It does not work for the blog item only. For blog page it works because we did checked it. However, this will be fixed for the item with next theme update for sure.

We found it finally. It does not work for the blog item only. For blog
page it works because we did checked it. However, this will be fixed for
the item with next theme update for sure.

Is there any workaround?

I just checked and actually the sticky post option works fine also for the blog items. So it was fixed actually. If you want to set a post to be sticky, go to posts and quick edit a post, then you will only see this option.

I'm displaying latest posts on the static home page using 'Blog' builder element with 'Masonry Blog Style'. I want to display one of my old posts here, to which I have applied 'Sticky'. But it is not working!

I checked with every possible style and the sticky post is always first.
Are you using the muffin builder blog item?
Please send a link to this page.
And send a link to the post that is sticky.

Yes, I am using muffin builder blog item. In fact I used BE Writer Theme demo. It's on the Home page:

This definitely doesn't work in version 21.8.5.2. Whether I'm using the blog widget in the muffin builder, or in Elementor (which is what we're using), sticky posts aren't being pushed to the top of listing when ordering by date.

Please always attach a link so we can check it out. If the page is offline(localhost) then our help will be limited, you will have to contact us when the page is online. Also please make sure that the page is not under maintenance before you provide us the link.
It is always a good idea to also attach a screenshot, for that use services like snag.gy or pasteboard.co

I'm happy to setup a testing server for you. However, it will be much faster for you to test this on your end to verify that this is in fact what's happening. All it requires is that you mark a single post as sticky and then add a blog widget into Muffin Builder or in Elementor to see that this is happening.

I tested it on our local machine and it works fine, the post set as "Sticky" displays on the top, as a first post.

Can you disable all of the plugins, clear the cache and check, if the issue still exists?
