Search option in Overlay Menu Header

Im wondering if the search option is available in using the overlay menu header? I see the search wrapper and icon in the code for my site but I can't figure out how to have it show. Id really love to have an search icon in the menu. Are either doable, even with custom coding?

To display search with overlay header, you need to use the following css:

.header-overlay .top_bar_right { display: block !important; padding: 0 !important; }
#Top_bar a#search_button { color: #FFF !important; }
