sidebar-content-sidebar in pixels?

 I'd like to know for sure how many pixels to set images and revolution slider, etc, for the sidebars and main content are when the layout is the default sidebar--content--sidebar and a full screen wide layout. The sidebars seem less than 300 pixels. Can you tell me please? I am guessing like 230 for sidebars and 760 for the central area. There is the default padding around everything. What are the recommended dimensions for setting up sliders in the sidebar and center section?
