BeTheme - uploaded theme and child theme fine, but unable to activate demo data

Hello, i have been speaking with a customers hosting company as i keep getting an error when simply trying to activate the demo data (the main betheme and child theme have been uploaded no problem)- they suggest i speak to you (even tho the error reads 

WordPress function wp_remote_get() [Links visible only for registered users] test failed. Looks like your server is not fully compatible with WordPress. Contact your hosting provider.
Error: Failure when receiving data from the peer

the website Im trying to upload demo data to is [Links visible only for registered users]  can you advise my next step please as my customer is getting agitated now, after a week of speaking with squirrel they now tell me its not their problem :(

    sorry, im trying to simply add this theme to the child theme

    Hi,

    Looks like your server does not support wp_remote_get() function which is a default WP function btw. wp_remote_get() uses loopbacks and this could be the reason why you are unable to import complete pre-made layout. So or you will contact with your admin and ask him if he can remove those limits for you or you need to import demo without paying attention to errors and after that import muffin options manually.

    More details about similar issue you can read on http://forum.muffingroup.com/betheme/discussion/12103/wp-remote-get-demo-download-no-header-menu-of-footer-settings where a problem was a little bit different but the solution may work for you as well.

    You should speak with your admin or if he won't be able to help, switch to another (better) hosting that supports Wordpress completely because current one definitely doesn't. Please understand that this has completely nothing to theme.

    as you know, i LOVE betheme, you are my heros, but just to show you the last message they have sent me -

    As mentioned in our first reply, loopback connections are blocked on shared hosting (you would need a VPS or higher to use them). The main reason that loopbacks are not allowed is that if used incorrectly they can cause infinity redirects which can crash the server. Loopback connections like that are blocked on our servers because they can also be exploited by attackers. As such the restriction can not be lifted. 

    Can you please try logging into the admin via: 

    [Links visible only for registered users] 

    Then try and import? This is using the temp IP and may help avoid the loopback. 

    If this does not work, can you please request the URL that the import is trying to connect to from the theme creator and ask then to confirm the version of SSL they are using?

    Im so confused as the theme is on my pc, just as all your clients BEThemes are, and they are blaming you lol ???

    do you have a link to a betheme with 'Interior 2 demo data' already uploaded so i cna just upload it at all?

    No, we do not have any other links and any other solutions. Pre-built layouts can be imported with '1 click installation' feature which uses loopbacks. So if loopbacks are blocked on your current hosting, you should change hosting then or build pages from scratch as we do not have any other solution for that.
