Is there a way I can make the progress bar across the whole width of the page?

And what is the process to remove the slider area from that page if I were to decide to get rid of it?

But as we can see, you set it inside 1/4 column width. So how exactly you want to make it full width if you put it into 1/4 column?

To remove slider, please find Slider Revolution drop-down field under Page Options section where this slider is.

I did but it will still leave a little gap on the top between the two.

If you look at http://pasteboard.co/1JaPhdKK.png you see that this padding comes from the content. You can easily disable it under Theme options > Global > Advanced section.
