Web Design theme - menu help, gray box in corner

edited June 2016 in Theme support
I've installed the Web Design demo and am currently in the middle of customizing. I've created our menu and set it to show on the Main Menu, but it is not showing anywhere. And, there is a small gray corner in the upper right side with a white down arrow inside that is not part of the demo template/theme. Could you please help with getting the overlay menu to view and does this have something to do with the gray corner? If not something to do with that, what does it mean?

Here is a preliminary link to the site: http://dev.theamericanoutdoorsman.com/

Thank you,
Sheila

  • Okay. I just came to the realization that in the Overlay option one cannot have submenuing so trying to figure out if my menu not showing has something to do with that. :-/ Still need to know what the gray box is about.
  • Also, when I drag the lower right corner of my browser to resize the window, my site logo disappears, reappears, etc. Could you help me understand what is causing that to happen? Thanks!
  • Hi,

if you look at http://pasteboard.co/1SldZuUg.png you see errors in JS console which comes from one of your extra plugins. So please fix this error and the menu would back. But this icon in the right top corner it's Sliding Top which can be disabled under Theme options > Header & Subheader > Extras section.
  • Thank you! I was quickly able to hunt down the culprit. Why I didn't think to check the console...I'm sorry. I've assumed an existing site and there are many, many plugins installed. Trying to keep some existing content intact during this transition, don't know what's in use or not. But throwing it all out now, pretty much, and starting from scratch. Not worth the headache.

    Again, thanks so much!
