Slider Revolution

Why is Slider Revolution a required plugin? We are using LayerSliderWP and do not need Slider Revolution. Is there a way to disable the requirement and delete this unused plugin for housekeeping and security?

Where did you read it's required? It's just an optional plugin and there is no need to use it if you don't want to.

1. WP --> Appearance --> Install Plugins Look at Type Column for Slider Revolution.

2. Nag note that can be dismissed saying the Slider Revolution needs to be installed.

Delete the plugin and the Install Plugins page still retains it in it's list though no version number.

Ok, we weren't sure what you mean exactly. So in this place, it's marked as required because for most pre-built websites we used Revolution Slider to create slides. However, if you don't want to use those sliders, just do not install plugin.

The word "Required" by itself is an absolute statement. A note on the page would provide a better user experience: This would avoid questioning and doubt by my customer and my search time looking for an answer before I contact support.
