  Also, how can I update the theme? If I change the code I surely have to re-do this change and remove the logo again every single time. Is there a good solution for this?

  If you will change the code, you need to change it after theme update as well because files would be overwritten. For more details about theme update, please visit http://themes.muffingroup.com/betheme/documentation/#installation
