Disable related posts images or use thumbnails

Hello,

I see that for related posts thumbnails are not used and the full size images is used (just scaled down). Is there any way to use thumbnail size instead? 

If not, is there a way to disable the related posts images? I don't want to hide using CSS because the images still load in the background and slow down the page load.

    Hi,

    if you want to speed up site do not using Related Posts, you need to disable Related Posts completely under Theme options > Blog, Portfolio & Shop > Blog section as this is the only option we have for this feature.

    Thanks for the reply. Yes, I know you can disable it entirely :)
    Are you planning on making any changes to the feature? Also, why does it not use the thumbnail?

    We will consider this when we finish current features/updates. However, Related Posts does not use the thumbnails because people got an option to set the number of columns. And if for example you set 2 related posts in column and 1920px grid width, then the image need to be 960px width. That's why we use original size.
