Search page menu NOT displaying correctly

I cannot figure out why the search page navigation does not MATCH the options I have selected for the site-design.  It doesn´t even look like the custom css that I wrote to change the navigation menu I selected is even being applied either?  How can I get this menu and nav items to match the rest of my site ...???

Here's a link to my test site ... http://104.236.156.59/  any help would be appreciated.

  • Hi,

could you explain what exactly does not display correctly? Do you mean content goes behind the menu?
  • No ... the "style" or type of menu is completely wrong and items I successfully change with css in the navigation for the rest of the site aren't being applied to this specific navigation either.

Go look at the site ... search for anything and look at the menu (structure, style) that's completely different from the main pages of the site.

It's not a subtle difference ... seriously ... go and check it out.  Thanks in advance for your help.

We checked and the only thing we may suggest is to remove all theme files and upload the newest one thru FTP because it has nothing to original version of theme files. You just need to remove all customization you did because this is the reason why search page does not work as should.
  • Really?  Your solution is to "start over" ... wow, you're kidding ... that's pretty extreme.  I'll duplicate the site and try it on a cloned copy and get back to you.

    Thanks guys.

  • No, we are not kidding. Your or your developer did lot's of modification and only person who did those modification is responsible for your site. Sorry but we can not be responsible for someone's mistakes and customization.
  • Mistakes ... ha ha ha ... no, I didn't make any mistakes when I modified both the search.php and various css stylesheets.  That's the whole point of "customization-personalization".

I do appreciate your efforts to help ... there are plenty of ways to solve a problem, and in this case I didn't need to give the user ALL of the menu options.  They only needed a "home" link, but the menu had to have the same basic "look".

I accomplished this by modifying both the search.php and adding some custom css to style it.

Thanks for helping me talk it out and resolve it on my own.
