Excluding categories and and Muffin Recent posts widget

Hello,

I am using BeTheme for the website www.numerologbg.com

I have the following issue.

I have very specific type of publications, say of cathegory A witch I don't want to be displayed on the blog page. I was able to exclude this category from the BeTheme options.

However, I want to have a side widget (I use Muffin Recent Post Widget) which shows the last publication from this exact category. The problem is that when A is excluded from the options it doesn't appear in the widget also, i.e. this exclusion is "too global".

What would you suggest?

At least do you know of a plugin that could overcome this issue?

There are several plugins that add such widgets, do you know if some of them would work?

We did never tested any so we don't know what plugin might be the best.
