i need to use more that two custom fonts

  It is possible if you know coding but as we understood, you were asking for an option for more fonts than 2 and such option does not exist. If you look under Theme options > Fonts > Custom section, you will see that we have an option to use only 2 custom fonts.

  or you can just add and extra custom fonts by duplicating the code for the fields in

  Yes, this is true but this requires files customization what in reference to Item Support Policy is not allowed. For any files customization is responsible web developer who is creating final website.
