I would like to place a image carousel showing 5 images visible showing updates automatically from latest posts from pages or a particular page.

all carousels included into theme you can find on
http://themes.muffingroup.com/be/theme/shortcodes/loops/#blog-item
and except these, we do not have any other.

Posts always display from the newest to oldest so you should have these recent posts by default inside Blog Slider item.
