Is there a way I can make the cut-in part of the slider header, smaller.

There is a lot of empty space between at the top of the page, under the slider:

Where "Resources & Inspiration" & the logo in the area that is inset in the slider image.

I believe that is part of a change I can make via BeTheme.

Those paddings comes with column items. If you will remove paddings for columns, then many other sections will look not good.
