Hide search icon on desktop

Hello,

Is there a way to hide the search icon on desktop, but not anywhere else? I have an alternate search in my slider for searching on desktops, but on tablet+phone that doesn't work so I need the search icon there

Hey,

to remove search icon from desktop only, you need to use the following css:

@media only screen and (min-width: 1240px) { 
    #Top_bar a#search_button { display: none !important; }
}

Amazing that worked perfectly, thanks. You guys really rock, appreciate the help. So I was wondering everything we have right now is close to perfect and the last thing we need is just some sort of way for the customers to go to their account. Is there any way that we can use the icon-user that you have next to the cart icon, maybe to replace the search icon that we now removed or somehow add it to the menu or anything?

Ahh, I see. That makes sense awesome!

Now the search thing you did for me worked perfectly. I have one weird issue though. When you click on the search on mobiles it zooms in, which a lot of our customers get confused by (they're older people, and don't know how to zoom out again). Is there a way to do so that either:

1. When you click on the search it does not zoom in

or

2. Once you leave the search it zooms out again?
