I run a wide range of servers, acting as a datacenter faclility and your lack of responsibility for the functionalities baffles me.
Loopbacks isn't the issue. I would assume that the issue is related to server's that are behind Source NAT and Destination NAT (good firewalled). The server's actual IP address is i.e. 10.x.x.x but the NAT translates to a public IPv4 address. So the server's hostname isn't resolving properly causing the loopback to fail.
So the import functions that you are relying on - compromises security in our end.
AND when that said, the theme is really nice and I have the same issue.
@wurkagency Really? So what you suggest then? Because above message does not say anything to be honest and we do not understand what exactly you are trying to tell us. We just use wp_remote_get() which is a default Wordpress function. How else you think we can do the import of all media, settings, menu, etc without loopback?
Hi, I have just had the same problem and receiving the following error.
WordPress function wp_remote_get() test failed. Looks like your server is not fully compatible with WordPress. Contact your hosting provider. Error: cURL error 52: Empty reply from server
@Korathat You need to contact with your hosting provider or admin because this error has completely nothing to do with the theme and is related with the limits on server side.
cURL is enabled, dev site is not behind a basic auth with pw and username.
WordPress function wp_remote_get() test failed. Looks like your server is not fully compatible with WordPress. Contact your hosting provider. Status code: 403
Using Cloud VPS server with WebHost Manager, running Easy Apache 4 so can add any module, etc.
What to do to resolve this? Issue is that header is not set right? How can I do it manually?
WordPress function wp_remote_get() test failed. Looks like your server is not fully compatible with WordPress. Contact your hosting provider. Error: cURL error 28: Operation timed out after 5000 milliseconds with 0 bytes received
Fatal error: Cannot use object of type WP_Error as array in /home/shababom/public_html/wp-content/themes/betheme/functions/importer/import.php on line 503
I contacted the provider but not clear respond from them!
Sorry but we cannot fix your hosting, only your provider is able to do that. We can only address issues with our theme or help you pinpoint your problem.
@danirbf Please send us WordPress dashboard and FTP access privately thru contact form which is on the right side at http://themeforest.net/user/muffingroup#contact and we will check what might be the reason because this is the first time, we see such error. Please don’t forget to let us know what for the access is.
I had the same problem. In my case the problem was probably an AAAA (IPv6) Record in my DNS zone. To solve the problem i just deleted this record and i could import all demo data...

Basically, the problem is related with access to files/folders/etc and this issue can be resolved by your hosting provider/admin only.

File patch: http://www.gilbertomattje.com.br/wp-content/themes/betheme/functions/importer/demo/_verify.txt
