I'd like to "hide" some of the post type on the admin dashboard

My client will not be utilizing all post types and I'm wondering if there is a way to "hide" some? I'd like to remove the "slides", "portfolio" and "clients" post types. My coding knowledge is limited but would like to keep this change inside of the child theme. Can this be done by way of the functions.php file?

Can I ask then what exactly does your 6 months of support cover when I purchase the theme? I'm not asking for you to implement anything, I'm asking if you can provide me with a few lines of code to "hide" these via the child theme...
