Navigation menu does not close after i click on anchor link

I am using the "Empty: Subpage without Header" layout for the header, thus I have this drop-down menu as the navigation menu.

I placed an anchor link in the navigation menu that will lead the user to a specific part of the home page.

But when I click on the anchor link, it moves to the specified spot, but the navigation menu still remains open.

How can I get it to close right after clicking on an anchor link?
