How to move sidebar from right to left side on WooCommerce shop page? [woocommerce sidebar]

If you would like to move sidebar from right to left side on woocommerce shop page, please go to header-shop.php file and replace below code:

if( is_active_sidebar( 'shop' ) ) $body_classes .= 'with_aside aside_right';

with:

if( is_active_sidebar( 'shop' ) ) $body_classes .= 'with_aside aside_left';

@MarianMinga This topic is out-dated. There is no need to modify theme files because this option is already included so you can choose with included options on which side the sidebar should be.

@edunpisan To set sidebar for WooCommerce pages, you need to put widgets into Plugins | WooCommerce widget under Appearance > Widgets section.

@muffingroup SHOP page is created automatically by Woo so we cannot edit the page. Menu links are created as shop categories. So there is no Page Options button to edit those pages. WooSidebars is a plugin that adds a sidebar to all woo archive pages, but by default to the right. How do we move it to the left?

@BMGmarketing If you want to set the sidebar for SHOP page, you need to create SHOP page that is empty and then under WooCommerce > Settings > Products > Display section, you need to set up this already created page as a SHOP page.

That will add the sidebar to the SHOP page, but it still doesn't solve the problem on all archive pages displaying products of particular category. All we are trying to do is move the sidebar from the right side to the left side on the ARCHIVE pages in woocommerce.

Are you suggesting that we should rather create a page for each product category and then do the layout in the Muffin builder or set it under Page Options? That would be a very big task especially for ecommerce sites that have for ex 40+ categories.

No, it is not true. If you will create such SHOP page and you set the sidebar for that page, same sidebar will appear on all WooCommerce related pages. Please please remember that WooCommerce plugin has built-in sidebar what means that you need to put the widgets into Plugin | WooCommerce sidebar which is located under Appearance > Widgets section.

You need to set the sidebars for the main page, just by editing the main shop page. The options for the sidebar layout are under the muffin builder.
If the main shop page has a sidebar then the product pages will have a sidebar as well.

Hi, I'm using BeTheme version 20.5.1 and can't find where to change the woocommerce sidebar to left side. Please, can you help me where can I change to left?

EDIT - So, I just figured out. Just set the left side on shop page on page options field.

BUT NOW I need to reduce the size of sidebar. It's too large! 620px is too much! Where I can reduce the size?
