Transparancy pages with background image in boxed layout

Hello,

Is it possible to make pages transparant (for example 50% white) when using a background image in a boxed layout? I would like to use a background image in a boxed layout, but I would like to see the image in the 'box', but less visible so you can easily read the content.

Hey,

please send us link to page where you would like to make pages transparent, because we need to have a look on it first and check if it would be possible with custom css and it depends on what you did already. Also, please tell us which parts you want to make transparent? Just the content part or maybe header and footer as well?

It is not a boxed lay-out yet (I like the footer to be as wide as the browser window). But a boxed-layout fits this lay-out I think. When I would use a boxed layout, I would place a background image and I would like the image to be seen also in the 'whole box' (all content > the header is hidden), but then very light, maybe only a opacity of 10%. I would like to see the whole picture but keep the text readable and also keep a sort of framework.

We understand what you mean but to make sure if its possible or not, you need to set boxed layout with background image first so we can check the code and available settings.

Ok, thanks. So to make the wrapper a little bit transparent, you need to use the following css:

#Wrapper, #Content { background-color: rgba(255,255,255,0.8) !important; }
