Section Background | Image loading after a while

Hi,

I got a strange loading effect on my current demo website: http://ssc.aurora.nl/wp

Each page has a first section implemented with a background image set as Center-NoRepeat-Fixed-Cover and style full-screen.

Every time a page is loaded, the cover image loads after the rest, causing a sort of blinking effect.

(To me it seems that the background image is loading after the subheader image, which is deactivated for each page)

Any idea on how to solve the problem?

(I already tried to reduce the size of the images...)

Hi,

Update the theme to version 17.3, disable all plugins and give it a go.

You pictures have 600kb in size, the page loads, and the photo loads longer because of its size. There is nothing much that can be done.

Ok, I will try to further reduce the image size.

Can the Theme be updated via wordpress panel? ...I didn't try it yet.
