wp_remote_get() error

Hello,

I am trying to customize the theme from Appearance -> BeTheme Options and the panel doesn't show.
If I go to System status I have with red this line "✕ WordPress function wp_remote_get() test failed. Contact your hosting provider. Status code: 404"
I talked with the server admin and they told me to get in contact with the theme provider and ask them what are the links used by the function wp_remote_get() so they could add them to the whitelist of the firewall.

So please help me to fix this problem.

Thank you.

  • Hi,

    you must have an old version of BeTheme. Please update it to recent version and you will not get this message anymore.

    Thanks!
  • Hi,

    Thank you for your quick reply. I made the update and the error with the function wp_remote_get() disappeared, but still is not working.
    Now, in the system status from appearance, in front of PHP Max Input Vars I have, with red, this message "3000 - Max input vars limitation will truncate POST data such as menus". Do you know what I can do to fix it?

    Thank you.
    Daniel
  • This is just a suggestion, if you have a lot of menu items or builder items they could not get saved at some point. You could modify this value and set it to 5000. Contact your hosting provider regarding this value.
