Uploading of a desktop-built homepage
Hi,
i have finished building my Homepage by using Xampp. The Page is designed by using a virtual local Host. Wordpress and the Betheme are installed in the xampp/htdocs directory. Now, i can't upload the Page on my Webserver. First i've tried to copy and paste Wordpress on the FTP, but I was unable to load the Homepage, because of a Database Error.
"Fehler beim Aufbau einer Datenbankverbindung"
I guess, the Problem lies within a false linking between Wordpress and the indispensable Database. Because the Database is located on my Harddrive and has a different Name, than on the Webserver, Wordpress is still thinking, that the Database is located on my Hardrive. It's just an Idea. I'm not a Programmer
Then i realised that there's a possibility to install Wordpress just from the main Site of my Webspace Provider. Up to that Point so far, so good. Wordpress is now working on my Webspace and there are no more Database Errors. Next, i had the Idea to install the Betheme on the Webserver, upload all the Images and the other stuff, that is implemented in my Homepage, change the Settings and then copy and paste the Html-codes for the single Sites.
Naturally i'm unable to use the betheme on the Webserver, because the licence only works with the Wordpress-Version, that is located on my harddrive. I was able to install the Theme, but I can't change any Settings.
Now i'm running out of Ideas, how i could solve this problem. Maybe someone can help me out?

Ok,
the Problem is solved. I used the Duplicator-Plugin. Pretty simple
But now i've got another Question. Do i still have to edit the Page using Xampp, although i used the duplicator to copy the Page just from my harddrive to the Server. There is still no possibility to change any main Settings in the Betheme Options.

Hm...no, that's not my Problem
I've managed to upload the page on my webspace, but i can't change any Settings. When I want to edit the homepage, i have to do it on my harddrive using xampp, where i installed it first. Next i duplicate it and finally upload it on the Webspace.
It's no big deal, but it's exhausting, because it takes more time, than editing it on the webserver.
Until the point, where i could say: "Ok, most of the work is done. Now, the page can go online." I wanted to built it on my harddrive. Now i'm working on the nuances and can't do it on the webserver. That's all
