Blurry images on thumbnails

www.paddywagon.sugarfreemediagroup.com (based on Animal theme)

I replaced the images from the theme with my own images (resizes) and the image thumbnail appears blurry although I resized the images to the same dpi and dimensions as the original images.

Any help would be great!

Hi,

To change the size of the images on portfolio/blog/shop please navigate to theme options>blog,portfolio&shop>featured image

There set the desired image size. Remember to read the notice at the bottom of the page regarding thumbnail regeneration.

I'm not sure I understand.

I started w the Animals theme and in the home page animals theme demo there is a photo grid (6 images) using the image id # to pull specific images.

I first took one of the themes images (800x600 @ 72dpi) replaced with new images of the same size .

The new images uploaded but the preview image is blurry whereas they were not before I replaced them.

I did read your reply however after reviewing it I do not think that is the correct solution.

The image that you are linking to is a high resolution image and that is fine, but the thumbnail is very small 150px by 150px, look here: http://prntscr.com/f3x2ai

Where and how do I adjust the thumbnail size from 150x150 to 267x267

Is creating a gallery for this a better ID than using the image id #? I used the exact set up as the theme (i simply took the photos they had and resized my images to the exact specs. I replaced the theme image id #s with my image id #s. Since I did not create a gallery I do not see the thumbnail resize option.

Then create the gallery again and paste the old ID's to the new shortcode.

This may sound like a ridiculous question, but how do you create a gallery? The original developer on this project imported home page content and then replaced the image id's in the shortcode;, but I cannot tell where the shortcode is pulling from. Please see below.

Nothing of the above advices worked. Could you please look for a solution of the issue with the blurry images.

Go to settings>media and change the sizes there, remember to regenerate thumbnails

Regenerate thumbnails? what does this mean? I only see size settings to change small, medium and large sizes...

I've done all of your suggestions: resizing thumbnail and regeneration of thumbnails. Without any advantage.

@muffin: Did you had a look at my above submitted link? Do you understand the problem we are talking about?!

I don't have this issue with other themes so I expect it comes somehow from betheme..

This is how you should do it:

This all depends on the sizes you choose in settings>media, for expamle:

This is the standard dimensions set by Wordpress: http://prntscr.com/fee08d

So if I would just set the thumbnail size to a bigger one and then regenerate thumbnails, you could even choose thumbnail size when creating the gallery because the thumbnail size would be much bigger.

@paderdeko This has nothing to do with betheme, this is a standard wordpress gallery
