Unable to import options backup correctly

At first I want to say thank you for such a great theme! One of the best I ever used.
Anyhow, I have a problem with the import function in the muffin options:
I downloaded a .txt-backup of all options a few days ago.
I transfered the wp installtion from a preview-domain to it's real domain and adjusted the absolute URL-paths in the database.
Also I updated the URLs in the muffin builder with success! All resources will be loaded correctly, but the theme options were deleted.
So, I tried to import the backup, but my settings don't overwrite the default ones.
I tried both, import from file and from url, without success.
I searched a solution for this problem in this two discussions:
I've tried the sugesstions, but none of them worked. That's my system status:
When I hit save the page apparently send the form data properly. I can see the url to the backup file respectively the new settings in the request payload.
Moreover I tried to change the database entry in the table wp-options, but that will be directly overwritten, when I reload the homepage.
Have some other user the same problem? Is there any solution?

we don't know what tools you've been using while migration or what happened exactly because we were not doing it but while site migration, we always use 2 plugins and did never had any problems with content or settings migration. Those plugins are: WP Migrate DB and Mfn CB Migration Tool. So please do the migration once again using this tools and everything must be fine.
