"Save changes" button in the "Betheme options" not working

Hello,

I have the 6.8 theme version of Betheme. When I make a change in the "betheme options" panel and click in "save changes" the page refresh but there is no change saved.

I need help please, thank you!

Hi Zorion,

you have probably not enough memory and that's why saving options does not work. Please take a look at topics below where this was explained few times:

Hi

I have them same problem here. Memory limit ist 256M.
Even when i want to deactivate de Slider and save it, it doesn't work. I can't save any changes on the front page. I can duplicate the page, but i cannot save any changes there also...
But only the "Page options" (Muffin Builder) are affected. When i change the content in the "normal" Editor it wil be saved.

Everything else seem to work fine.

@serviceomega If only page options are affected, then max_input_vars must be increased on server side. As default it's 1000 for sure while should be 5000 or even 10000 if you build pages with large amount of content.

Hi

I have the same issue with serviceomega! I did what you suggested, I increase max_input_vars to 10000 but still cannot save any changes in the options.

Any suggestions?

@SerialPixels You should contact with host admin then because this issue is not related with theme at all. Other variables like: upload_max_filesize, max_execution_time, post_max_size, memory_limit must be also increased probably.

@muffingroup I'm not sure that is not. Everything else seems to be working just fine. Only the specific page options do not work.

I'm not saying that this is a theme problem per se, but I surely don't have it with other themes as well, with the same amount of content (actually the same exact content).

All above settings that you mentioned, are increased as well.

@SerialPixels So you say that some settings can be saved but some not? Which one exactly can not be saved? Please explain.

@muffingroup When I say everything else, I mean every other function on the theme and on the page. For i.e. Visual Composer saves changes, the muffin editor saves changes, the normal editor saves changes etc.

What ever exists from hide content and below, cannot be saved.

What I'm trying to change is the use of a specific revolution slider for that page. I have created the slider, saved everything and when I go in that page to choose the slider in Slider | Revolution Slider, I make my choice, update the page, but the change is not saved!

To be honest, in a demo page that I created, it saves fine.

Also because this is a one page site, there is a lot of content and the use of both Muffin Builder and VB is imperative.

Really appreciate your help!

@SerialPixels It was confusing because we thought that only some options under Muffin Options can't be saved. But as we see now, you mean that options under "Page options" section can't be saved. And because it's "Page options" section, we are 100% sure it's because of limits on max_input_vars. If you increased this variable and still does not work, you must contact with host admin because we do not have any other suggestion unfortunately. You can try to increase variables that we mentioned above but we are not sure if these will help.

I had the same problem. The solution in my case was only to update the PHP to 5.4 . Before i had 5.3
