cURL error 56 updating from 20.7.3 to 20.8.5

When updating via wordpress I am getting the cURL error, same as mentioned on this forum: https://forum.muffingroup.com/betheme/discussion/35062/an-error-occurred-while-updating-betheme

I have created the phpinfo.php page and installed on the server for Superfish.com.au

Please let me know if you can see why this is occurring.

Hi,
please contact your hosting provider and ask him if the CURL librabry is intalled in your current PHP version.

CURL is installed.

It could be related to this Apache bug - what is the url of the file that is downloaded?

LayerSlider also fails to download - if I run the following through curl on multiple machines it also fails.

curl -O http://api.muffingroup.com/plugins/download.php?code=[license code]&plugin=LayerSlider

Please try to first disable all plugins and then install/update the plugins.
It could be also blocked by the hosting provider, please contact him because the plugins and updates are download thru our API.

It looks like the hosting is blocking incoming files from our server.
The only possibility would be to remove the theme from your FTP and upload the newest version manually.

What IP range needs to be checked for downloading updates?

I cant download the update from my own network either which has nothing to do with the host.

We do not know what do you mean with the range, mostly it is the ports that are blocked, not the IP.
You are hosting your own website?

Further back in this thread a provided a curl example that doesnt work when using my own license code.

curl -O http://api.muffingroup.com/plugins/download.php?code=[license code]&plugin=LayerSlider

Running this command line doesnt work from the server hosting my blog or my terminal on a Mac.

Is your licensing check possibly failing ?

Will not work. You cannot pass this directly into your URL bar.

We also checked this error and it is a server issue. The enviroment you are currently using has some limits. We found some information about users contacting their hosting provider to change the Apache settings.

You can always download the newest version of the theme and upload it manually if your hosting provider will not be able to help you.

My hosting provider, who are also developers, said:

"If there's a setting that Muffin Group require then they need to tell us what it is. Hundreds of Wordpress installs update fine from this same server."

I personally have dozens of websites on this server, mostly using the Divi Theme, and they all update fine. It is only the BeTheme I am having issues with.

Sorry but our hands are tied. This is some kind of a firewall issue. There is no information we can give to the hosting provider, like a port to unlock because there are none. Everything happens on the server side and those plugins are updated via API.
