Hello!

I have recently transfer on of my web - sites to a new domain and hosting. I did it manually by making export and import all the content from every page with the muffin builder. Everything looks fine but i have a problem with google maps, everything is setup ok but im getting this message

Oops! Something went wrong.

This page didn't load Google Maps correctly. See the JavaScript console for technical details.

I didn't search a lot for a solution but it will be very nice if someone can help me from here!
I'm using be theme with the interactive demo i think but i changed it a lot (no child theme) .

Ok i'm sure it is an Google Map API key issue but what exactly and how i can resolve this.

I was having this issue as well. Here's how I solved it:

Theme Options > Global > Advanced > Google Maps API Key

Mine was blank (not sure what it is normally..) so I went to https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/get-api-key

select "GET KEY"

It's pretty easy to follow til you get your key and paste it in the box as stated above!

Hi,

you need to set Google Maps Api key under Theme options > Global > Advanced section. Google blocked their maps and now they requires Google Maps API key.

@4565modesto It means you did it wrong or you have a wrong key. As you can see for all users above it works what means the problem is somewhere on your end and it must be related with wrong code.

I am using a new theme 'bistro' and do not have a google api option - can you advise how i correct this please - i notice that you have suggested uploading a new theme - how do i do that?

What you can do to update your betheme, is to activate another theme then delete betheme current version upload and activate the newest version of betheme you have. To find the newest version go to envato with your account or check you emails if you have email notification for updates on.

Worked for me, thank you!! I got this message saying I didn't have permission but I just ignored that and hit 'create' and it gave me an API key, I pasted it and the map that came with my betheme demo started working.

@endridy If you put the right API code, then it has nothing to theme and or you need to wait for Google or you need to contact with Google staff and ask them whu your API key does not work.

I get the right API code, Google Maps Javascript API on Google API Console

set Google Maps Api key under Theme options > Global > Advanced section.

the map that came with my betheme demo don't started working yet.

@AlexanderBejarano If api key was generated properly and still doesn't work, you need to contact with Google team because it has nothing to theme. The only problem might be between the api key and your domain.

i got my API key and my BeTheme is the latest (4.5.3) version but i don't have the google maps api key area at Global > Advanced section. any suggestions?

I generate address www with WWW., but i regenerate without WWW this solved this problem,
