Manual import of Muffin Options panel

If your server is not able to handle automatic import of Muffin Options, we provide solution to import options manually. Below we describe in steps, how to do this.

1. Please unzip betheme.zip file and go to betheme/functions/importer/demo/be/your-demo-name folder.
2. Open options.txt file and copy the content.
3. Under the dashboard, please navigate go to Theme Options > Backup & Reset section and click "Import from File" button.
4. Please paste previously copied the content and click "Import" button.

Notice! This will overwrite any existing options, please proceed with caution!

We also got a solution for Widgets, Content & Menu.

How to import Widgets manually?

1. Please install Widget Settings Importer/Exporter plugin.

2. In dashboard go to Tools > Widget Setting Import and select a file

3. Widgets file can be found under betheme/functions/importer/demo/be/your-demo-name/widget_data.json folder.

How to import Content & Menu manually?

1. In the dashboard please navigate to Tools > Import section and click WordPress

2. .xml file can be found under betheme/functions/importer/demo/be/your-demo-name/content.xml.gz (if you want to see the content, please unzip this file).

Please remember steps above are for all those for whom automatic import does not work (it's maybe 1%).

What comes after step 3 in How to Import Widgets manually? I got a message saying I had to choose a program to open the JSON file. I picked WordPad, now I'm stuck. There are no buttons that I can click on to proceed or go back.

@RevPubLibDirector There is nothing after step 3. The file from step 3 should be imported the way as we explained in step 2.

I got blank response after I import wordpress content. Just white screen.

@slickpencil Are you talking about pre-made layouts? If that's what you mean, let us know which demo you tried to import.

BTW You left the message under wrong topic if you mean pre-made layouts.

yes i want to import theatre. Sorry the other topic leads me here after demo import didnt work in my end. Same issue white screen after import.

@slickpencil So import demo without attachments and check if this works because looks like you are unable to import demo with attachments because of limits on server side.

Hi, how does the menu.txt file work? I keep trying to do automatic / manual installs and the menu.txt file is not working

@jscostantini We are sorry but we do not have any method to import menu items. You can only create them manually under Appearance > Menus section.

@jcostantini Each menu item have own class name and for each, we created own custom css:

#Top_bar .menu > li.color-blue > a:after { top: 0; background: #0086e3; }

Hi!

I am trying to edit the appearance of the BeTheme for Blogger2 demo. But when I go to the Betheme Theme Options, I am getting blank pages on all the tabs (including the import & export). Can you help me fix this error? I can't edit any font/text or header logo image without these functions. Thanks!

Hi @yinanxia,

if Muffin Options are empty after installation, it means your server is limited. In this case we recommend to deactivate all plugins first and after that click “Save changes” button under empty Muffin Options panel. But if this won’t help, then please check topics below where we explained what may be limited on server side:
