Sorry but this is how browsers use the transition effect, we cannot do anything about it. We can just disable the transition effect but then you will not hve the smooth color transition.

This is because the menu items do not fit the container. There is just too many of them. You would have to change the initial width value in theme options>responsive>header to switch to the hamburger menu quicker. thanks
