Unfortunately, there is no option to set that the menu will hide after selecting the menu item.

You can try to shorten the content a little more, or change the moblie breakpoint, so as soon as your menu goes to the second line, it will change to hamburger menu.

If this will not work, please, try to shorten your content in menu items by reducing font size or using shorter words.

Well, it looks like the problem is somewhere in the database of the wordpress, because after recreating the menu it's working fine.

I was testing it on firefox and chrome, toggling menu like 2-3 minutes on each browser and it did not display any issue, it's working fine.
