This white strip is just a border, which is normal thing in this kind of menu.

It will hide the menu only on home page.

When chosing any stack: center or stack: left (...) Header there is no space between the menu elements. any idea? it's a complete new installation, no adaptions made so far.

It's an "Active Link color"You can find it in Theme Options > Colors > Menu

The center logo is in Split Menu and a Stack: Center header.

We sometimes also add the 'BUY NOW' button as the last menu item, be sure to go to apperance>menus and check there as well.
