When you have the social in the theme options activated it shows he social media icons in the top bar of the website.  When you turn on the Social Menu Top | depth 1, the social icons up top disappear

all the styles for active menu items are in theme options>menu.

you can disable them in theme options>menu

go to theme options>global>general and select the transparent option for the menu.

Sorry but we cannot help with this, you have modified the menu to have a widget area. It was not intended to be used like this and we do not support theme customization.
