Add underline to navigation

Is there a way to add an underline on the mouse hover to the main nav instead of the brackets that the Surfing theme has?

Ok. Did you tried to use additional menu styles that can be set under Theme options > Menu & Action Bar > Menu section?

Yes. The options don't work. It says right below the drop down "For some header style only"

Yes, it's true. These styles works for some header types only. So if you are using the header where styles does not work, it means that you can only change color on hover what can be done with below css:

#Top_bar .menu > li > a:hover { color: #000 !important; }
