Hiding Portfolio Category

Hi, I was wondering if there is an easy way to hide a specific portfolio category. 

I want to create two types of portfolios, Products and Companies, but I want them each to appear in different locations. Becuase the Jquery is only available for Portfolio template I would like to use it to categorize the Products. 

To show the companies I want to create another page  using the Default Template page and just insert the Portfolio Grid with the Category "Companies"  that can be done with the muffin builder, but I dont want "COMPANIES" to appear in the normal portfolio, 

Hope this makes sense, if not possible, do you know of any other possibilities to have a catalogue of products?

Hi,

this can be done with Muffin Builder tool only like you wrote above. When you edit Porfolio item, you can set multiple categories to be displayed.
