Be|Theme front page/home page problem

Been working on modifying the "AG" demo in Be|Theme. I’m new at this so it’s a pretty slow process for me to modify stuff (images, code, etc) and get the layout I am looking for.

After hours of tweaking the "home page/front page" - the header - logo placement - slider depth - other elements (still not done yet), the "front page", for some reason unknown to me (but probably my fault, being new at this), started showing up as a pretty ugly "blog" page. Even if I click on the static page option. I tried reverting back to various older "saves" of different versions of the "Home" page, but none worked. Still the ugly blog page. Is there anything I an do to fix this? I have already scrapped all the files and started over once, and would rather not go through that again.

I had intended to attach a jpeg illustrating the probem, but - being a newbie - I don’t know how to attached something from a url (its a Photshop jpeg, not an online image).

So… you can see the front page I DON’T WANT (or like) at http://jameselamfishing.com

And THIS is what I DO want to use as the front page (home/landing page): http://image

or - jameselamfishing.com/home-2/ (if link doesn’t work)

ALSO I would rather not include "Home" in the menu, as it appears now. I just want to use http://jameselamfishing.com/home-2/ as the landing page, and link it back to the header logo, from all pages. Hope that makes sense to you.

I think that’s all, for now. Please help, if possible. If not, let me know if I should start over or if there is anyway I can salvage at least something.

Thanks,
Larry
