Theme crashed my site?

Okay, so I'll be the first to say, I'm a total tech amateur. 

So, I've had my Wordpress site up and running for a couple of years now, and today, decided to try the BeTheme. 

I installed it, and activated it, and it looked okay, just formatted weird. I installed of the theme demos to see how it looked, and it was better, but not quite how I wanted it. 

Now the fun began. Went back to default theme, and got a "404 - site not found."

I've tried everything. I un-installed and re-installed BeTheme, went back to my old theme, nothing. No matter what I do, all I get now is 404 error. Put my website into maintenance mode for now while I sort this out. 

Any ideas?

    Hi,

    please go to Settings > Permalinks section because this may be the reason why you have 404 error. Please notice that this error is related with .htaccess file on your FTP. Theme, does not have any impact on this behave. Please also remember to set right homepage under Settings > Reading section.
