Custom CSS Not Working On New Items...

I've found several discussions on this issue and have done everything that MuffinGroup suggested i.e., increase max_var_char in php.ini and had our hosting company clear the server cache (actually this happens every 2 hours on a script) and the custom CSS is only working for what we had in place before the latest wordpress update 4.4.

I've added custom css right on the main page in the section at the bottom that is page specific and not site wide. It works for the elements that were entered before the 4.4. update but not on anything new.

Not sure if it has anything to do with he update or not but just want to include that for diagnosis.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

  • Hi,

please create file with phpinfo() function on your server where you use BeTheme and send us url to such file so we can have a look on your settings.

    Thanks!
  • Ok, I am happy to do so but I need to know exactly what the file name should be, where it should be saved and what it should contain as far as code please.
  • We are sorry but we do not offer files customization. In accordance to Item Support Policy, this is not allowed. Basically the name of file could be any. It's only important to have above function inside. But, if you don't know how to do this, we recommend to contact with your website developer.
  • I'm not asking for file customization. I simply need to know where to put that command as I can do it on our server.

    Specifics are important...

    1. What folder level does the file need to be added, theme, betheme, css, wp-content, wp-admin?
    2. The file obviously can't be any file, it will have to be a .php or .ini or .css file so I need to know the file type.
    3. Can that command be added to any other file like php.ini?

    Thanks.

Sorry but we can not agree with you because you are asking about files customization. "Simply need to know where to put that command" means you ask for files customization. Anyway, like we wrote, you can use this function in any new file. You can call this file however you want, it doesn't matter. It's only necessary to put this function inside so we can check server settings.

    1. The answer is ANYWHERE.
    2. Ohh, wow. We thought that if you are planning to do it yourself, you know that php functions can be used ONLY in .php files.
    3. No, can't be. You must create own/new file.
