Blog Feed from another WP Database

We have a main (portfolio) site and a blog that us a sub-directory of the main site and uses a different WP Database. I would love to show a homepage feed to the most recent posts. Is that possible from a different database?

I understand, and this question might be outside of our 'deal' here. My site is primarily a portfolio and the portfolio pages are posts. I assume that I can import, or merge the databases from the blog and the portfolio. 

Then both types of posts would appear on the homepage.

I can create a basic HTML redirect for the old blog site (http://klad.com/blog) and set up the blog within the BeTheme?

Does that make sense?

Sure, you can try that and check if this would work. Not sure if this would work as you wish but you can try of course.
