Enabling under construction page breaks plain menu

edited January 2016 in Menu / Mega menu
I started with a fresh install of Wordpress and I mean absolutely fresh. I am talking reset the database and scrub everything fresh. The following steps are how to break the menu.

  1. Import the demo data and all images for the Golf theme.
  2. Navigate several pages and all works as expected.
  3. Save the theme settings to a text file.
  4. Enter the settings for Be|Theme and enable the under construction page.
  5. Visit the website and view it again.
  6. The menu has the following look but if I import the settings I saved all is restored to normal and expected look.

    Hi,

this looks like you got subheader active. You can turn off subheader under Theme options > Header & Subheader > Subheader section.

Thanks for the reply but this anomaly only appears after I enable the "Under Construction" option in the theme settings. Before doing that the theme looks as it should. I literally started with a completely fresh install of Wordpress and imported the Golf theme without making ANY CHANGES to theme settings at all. It worked perfectly until I enabled the "Under Construction" page then what you see in the image happens.

Also your tip did work but not sure if there is anything you can do to prevent others using this theme to encounter this issue.
  • If you will send us private message with dashboard access, we can have a look on it closer of course.
  • The problem is resolved thank you. My assumption is that the Golf theme that can be downloaded from your website may need to be updated. Perhaps the setting to disable the sub-header was not enabled before you exported the theme? At any rate all is well on my end thank you.
  • Great, we are happy to know that :)
