W3 Total Cache

edited January 2016 in Other
I would like to know what the future plans are to optimize the speed of the theme with new plugins. I did use super cache and it did not work well with the theme. I removed it because of errors in the wpconfig and htaccess file. I was going to install your recommended plugin W3 Total Cache however, upon review it is determined the plugin is no longer supported and has not been updated in 5 months. With the new releases to WordPress over the last 5 months many users are seeing errors. How should I proceed forward? Do you recommend installing W3 Total Cache? I believe the developer has just walked away. They are still online just not supporting the product. I recommend you purchase it from him, package it up and release it on envato. Just an idea from a consultant. Please let me know what may best help me achieve a good site speed with a cache plugin.

Thank you,
James Goldbeck

  • Theme is already optimized as much as it was possible. There is nothing else what can be optimized more on theme side. And we can not agree that W3Total cache is not supported. This is the best cache plugin and our site is the best proof of that. As you can see on http://tools.pingdom.com/fpt/#!/cxmS9Z/http://themes.muffingroup.com/betheme/, load time of our site is less than 2 seconds what is very good result with such plugins included like Revolution Slider and all those large HD images. And guess what? It's just theme with W3Total Cache plugin. But please notice that setting up plugins like W3Total cache requires skills and on each server, different settings may work better. So if you don't know how to set this plugin the best, you should contact with your web developer.

    Thanks!
