Could you please tell me what I need to do to correct the header issues on http://www.dougrichardson.com/blog/ and how to make sure it works well on all devices? Thank you so much!!

Hi,

we are not sure what you mean but if you ask about this height section, it's because you did not set Minimalistic header under Theme options > Header & Subheader > Header section. You should turn it ON and use different header type than Transparent because with Minimalistic on, it won't look good.
