Background image is blurred on mobile safari

Per the directions in the documentation, I uploaded a copy of the photo twice the size and the file name is identical otherwise. It should be all set up for retina but I think I'm missing something.

The device in question is an iPhone 6+

The image renders properly on my iPhone 6

Additional issue: On both devices, the logo at the top is distorted. Do I need to use specific dimensions for the logo or is it something else causing the distortion?

try to change section's background position because this is how some setting works on mobile in Safari.

This addressed the issue with the background photo.

What can I do to prevent the distortion of my logo on mobile? It's being distorted on both iPhone 6 and 6+
