How to change the menu bar backround

I use the default layout, but i can't change the menu bar color...how can i do that?

you can change this background under Theme options > Colors > Header section.

Hi, how can i change the background of the menu bar if i dont want a single color but something like a pattern( stripes) ?
The header background option just puts a picture below the menu bar.

I found a solution to the background question in another discussion.
However i'm having another problem concerning the "Social Top Bar" and how to get rid of it.
I no longer have Icons in there but the Bar still takes up space above the menu bar.

It's Action Bar which can be disabled under Theme options > Menu & Action Bar > Action Bar section.
