Change Icons on Masonry Hover Details Layout

I'm using the Masonry Hover Details layout for a portfolio here - [Links visible only for registered users]

I'd like to be able to change the icons that display on hover. Specifically, I'd like to change icon-forward to icon-basket and remove icon-link completely.

I'm using a child theme and managed to successfully make some unrelated customization. So, I thought I could add includes/content-portfolio.php to my child theme and change the icons there on lines 136, 178, 179, 211 and 240. But I'm either missing something in this file or I'm attempting to modify the wrong file altogether as the icons remain unchanged. Can you point me in the right direction?

this requires files customization what in reference to Item Support Policy [Links visible only for registered users] is not allowed. So if you want to modify files and don't know how, you should contact with your web developer.
