Possible to add description on masonry tiles for blog post?

Currently the masonry tiles style for blog post only display title of the blog post. Is it possible to display the description or the part of the post as well?

I notice that if I use portfolio post, it does display the description but I do not have masonry tiles style for portfolio. Is there any possibility to use Masonry tile style for Portfolio?
