Translating social links in Action Bar & Footer

Hi,

I'm building a multi-language website with Muffin and WPML. The client has FB, Twitter, etc. profiles for all their target languages. Is it possible to 'translate' the social links in the action bar & footer? We would obviously like to direct Italian visitors to Italian FB page, etc. If so, how can I do that?

Hi Seppo,

at this moment it is not possible but we`ll update xml file for wpml with next update and then this will be possible. But of course you will need to use http://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/string-translation/ plugin.

Thanks for the reply. Any idea when you are going to release the next update? Depending on what the client wants, I might just pay a coder for a simple JS script that changes the link based on the language parameter in the URL.

Related to this. is it possible to have the links open in a new window? I couldn't see anything in the theme settings for this.
