Using Quick fact for a page counter.

on our homepage http://www.kfz-steuer-2016.de/ we want to show how many people used our different tax calculator, which we will build on sub pages.
For this I have two questions:
a) Is it possible to integrate a shortcode of a counter plugin in the Number filed in your Quick Fact shortcode? Do you have any experience what we can use best for this purpose?
b) Is it possible to format an appearance of the numbers? So we want to have instead of, say 15678 a number with a point as a thousand separator like that 15.678 in the Quick Fact box.
